To paint or not to paint? -- WW Type R lip...

I was so lucky to pick up a used WW Type R Front Air Dam from a local seller recently!

the lip was pretty crappy looking, and all the paint on it was flaking off and/or chipped!

took some serious manual work with various sandpaper grits to remove the paint, and its now naked!

Unpainted!

Look at the new 3M double-sided tape that I applied

Waiting to install...

I am thinking of leaving the lip a matted finish, what does everyone else think?

Got a quote to have it painted for $120

Why the hell wouldn't you paint it? I hate ghetto rides with unpainted lips/bodykits around the south side.. I mean, it wouldn't look BAD unpainted, but it would look much better painted.

Yes, I have had both grey OEM side skirts and lips on both the e36 and my CL but that is wayyy different than the ww lip and most aftermarket lips since it covers part of the bumper.
