hi guys, i was wondering if anyones ever tried a glass pack on a 3.0CL? i dont wanna go out and spend $400 on a new exhaust, but im just getting bored with the sound. i was wondering if anyones tried it and if so, howd you like it?

I don't know, I'm not a fan of glass packs on any vehicle. If you want to go for it, do it. But I think that a V6 through a glass pack would sound awfully noisy, and not good.

ever hear of a cherry bomb? its a muffler with glass walls instead of metal. but i actualy decided against the glass pack. im just gonna drop my middle resonater and throw a flow master muffler on the back.

i was considering this when my stock muffler started falling apart at 190k miles, going the cheapo THRUSH glasspack w/ y pipe method. but i had a friend put the same glasspack on his v6 sonoma and it sounded like shit, so i would assume our v6's would sound even worse with no top end...

It is loud and depending where you live ...

OP: you can't get a decent sound without spending decent money. Why not spend $400 dollars once and at least like the sound and quality? or get an aftermarket replacement muffler if you really need a replacement. But don't overlook one thing just to get "sound"

already have an intake. love the sound of it, but then again, i only get the sound when i stomp on the gas. but im not really able to drop $400 on exhaust right now. but down the road im gonna just go for it. i have a job at an auto shop now so once i learn how to bend pipe and weld and what not im just gonna make my own.

TBH, i think a G-pack on a 6 cyl, or wut other ppl have sed, on ANY car... is retarded, performance MAY b there, pending on the engine, but sound makes me think of chalkboards!!! i thought it was cool when i was in high school (sadly... 10 years ago) but i grew up since then and figured out much better things to do. but it also depends on then look your trying to achieve.. i went with the more JDM appeal and got a magnaflow exhaust system. and since your working where you are now, you should b able to finagle sum decent deals!! its your car, build it the way you want! haters gon hate man. I get mad ups n downs bout a fricken paint job! but my paint job is worth more than sed scrubs car. so meh, its wutever

i have a thrush glasspack on my 3.0, just where the muffler would be no delete or anything.

sounds better than the stock muffler but it's not something i would point out for sounding good either. but for 15 dollars what are you gonna do lol
