i wish the 2.3/2.2 wasn't so loud.
I like the fact that the 3.5 is real quick and not loud (or at least it doesnt seem to be loud).
Whats an easier swap?
a 3.5 into a 3.0
or
a h22 4 banger into a 3.0

Man I look fugly in that pic. We need a new pic of me, lol. I was pointing out that I haven't taken out the power steering pump even though I relooped the rack already. Just been lazy.
I agree with you 100% 97ghost, I really need to do a wire tuck or something to make the engine bay look more presentable.
CleanCL, I kept the front speakers for the road trips from Cali to Texas, and back, and so on. But soon, those will be taken out as well. And yes, the woodgrain and dashboard will be replaced with thin aluminum metal sheet or something similar with just the necessary tachs I need.

As for the J35/6speed or H22 swap question, the H22 swap is more practical as far as doing the whole 9 yards.
But, those who wouldn't mind keeping the auto tranny in the J series, can do a 3.5L swap for a lot less than what an H22 swap would go for. I discussed the full details in another thread a while back.

^^ it proves that infact it is the one and only, the other purpose of that shot was... well LOOK AT THAT GAPING CRACK IN THE HOOD
as for the swap thing, im not sure how easy it would be to get an H22 into a 3.0 body, the J series mounts are all different, whereas the F series 2.x mounts bolt right up to the H series motors with no problems at all........ I do know that in this case Honda had a 5th gen Accord race or rally car or something they put the F20B (destroked H22A) into a V6 chassis (C27A) to make an ideal weight distribution, I dunno about on the street, but I guess it can be done.......... maybe
and my F22 appologizes for being so loud, but in those shots you can barely hear him even if I was idly cruising along, all I could do is try to keep up.......... I did find the smoke shooting out the tailpipe to be funny though

That thing is probably one of the biggest sleepers ever. Sure you see Civics and other little cars with tons of money in them that can smoke everything, but you would NEVER expect that from a CL of all things.
Questions #1:
What kind of brakes do you have on that? I can't tell for sure if you had some judging by those pics.
Question #2:
What other weight reductions do you plan on doing? Im sure its been answered before but why haven't you put on a CF hood?
Truly an inspirational car.

hehe, the way that engine sits in there, a CF hood wouldve shattered by now...... I saw a piece of the hood punched out from where the engine occasionally hits it
and according to him, the current heavy hood has a tendency to lift at high speeds as the air gets in under it..... so a lighter CF hood.... well Im sure you can see where im going with this

Hawk pads is right. I'm getting cutom brakes by the end of summer from Wilwood. As for weight reductions, I'm going with lexon glass sometime soon (after my trip to Cali).
As for the hood, I was having issues with the hood banging on my manifold due to the wheel hop. I'm hoping I won't have that issue with this new suspension setup, but I haven't broken in the clutch yet to be dumping the clutch.

Aight, if the J35A4 Block is the same Casting as a J32A, then the motor mount problem that you had wouldn't be an issue with the 2nd Gen CL, Right?
This is now giving me a whole new outlook on a swap, since I don't have a CL-S anyways, might just skip that and go up in Liters and swap in a 6 speed...
