Omg...How much?..please help....

It seems like my main seal is busted. I cleaned my motor to see where I wasleaking oil, and my head was good. I lift my car up only to see that I am leaking oil from where my tranny and block meet. That could only mean that my main seal is gone, right? Doesn't that mean that I have to rebuild my whole motor to replace that seal?

If so, how much would it cost to rebuild my motor? If that costs around 1400, and to rebuild my tranny around 500 (if I take it out for them), or 1g if they do all the work, that's a total of about 2g's all together.

How much would it truly cost to put in the type S block along with the 6speed tranny? I really need to know about how much I'm looking at. If rebuilding my motor, or doing the type S swap(just block/tranny) is way too much, I think i'm just going to sell my car and part it out.

I'm looking for a Black Type S 6speed out here, and can't find one. All of the type S out here are auto. I never again want to own an auto tranny in my life.

just buy a new j30a on ebay and then do you swap with the cams into the new motor and swap all other parts onto the new motor and you are set with a less milage motor

400 for parts and labor? If so, then way better than I thought.

the seal is only like 15$ but getting to it is the problem. all they do is drop the tranny, then they drop the oil pan, pull out the old seal and put a new one in and reverse everything else. is ur tranny ok?

My rear engine seal went out, with warranty it was only a $200 deductable, but the bill was a little over $800 (ALL LABOR!). Also, if your lookin at the ebay engine above, it has 81k on it, so you will be dropping another $800 for a big service at around 100k.
