Ok Re Post, CF ?'s

Ok I realize now (thanks Ross) that no one wants to get a group buy on the hood to get a really good one, so because of the hail damage, I gotta get one of the other hoods. Now there are two numbers floating around, one is Aero Distributor (714) 265-4123, and the 914 number, which I lost. What is the difference? Do they both need hood pins?!
Please Help me!
Aaron

lucky... aero distributor is the place... 714 #... 914 # is local by me in NY.. no company out here trust me!!!

CONS:
-cuts are slightly off makiung alignment a pain in the ass!!!
-the U bolt is too big so it does not sit flush when locked in the "hammer" (locking mechanism)
-if you remove the "hammer" you need hood pins
-hood is not cleared.. you better clear it
-hood is grade "c" hood... it has hazes in CF resin because thery are either not great at CF or rush the jobs
-edges that are cut are unfinished... you will end up painting them black
-no holes are pre drilled... but there is support, so you will be ok...
-washer nozzles are not pre-cut either... if you dont cut them (i didnt) you will see slight warps where the holes should be!!!
-Company sucks ass... took me 2 months to get mine
-ship Greyhound which is BS

PROS:
-only 2 people got it so far
-its real CF
-look great if you do it right
-sounds like alot of work but if you rae patient its only a 3 hr job for everything!!!
-its 1/2 the weight of stock hood
-only $400.00

Alright, I just got off the phone with Aero Dist, and they said that the hood is $310, and can be shipped, to my business, for only $110. She said the hood is clear coated, and they are able to ship it to a business or home. It takes a week or two to make the hood, then 1-2 weeks for shipping. I was told between 3-4 weeks. So what do you guys think? Do it?

Lucky.. sorry bro.. me and DCS got our from exactly the same place!!!! one # is the guys cell phone and one is the company #... either way... same place!

It took me 2 months because they damaged my first hood... and the Greyhound office by me closed so I had to go to NYC to get it.... I order Dec 14th and received it February 20th or something!!!

You cannot replace U bolt with out cutting it off any even then it will be difficult... They fiberglass it in then place CF over it... so there is no way to access inner bolt...

The $$ is great!!! Thats what I paid.. $400.00 shipped to house or business... oh yea guess what.. you gotta pic it up from GREYHOUND NO MATTER WHAT!!!! house or business they only deliver to the depot!!!!!! DCS had to get his from greyhound too!!!

They told me the hood was clear coated also... NOPE!!!! ITS NOT!!!! I had my buddy at a bosy shop clear mine.. NIGHT & DAY!!!

If I didnt think it was worth it I wouldnt have bought mine!!! But i am telling you and DCS can confirm its no easy task to make sure that it fits!!!

Yeah and they hardly speek english! I asked if it was clear coated and she had to check and she was like Yes Clear Coat. So whats the business/home shipping deal? They just lie? I dont care about how hard it is to install. I got some people to help me, but what do you do since you got hood pins? Cant they open that sucker up? Bet you have a nice alarm

I run a viper 500 alarm.. not to shabby... I am just careful as to where I drive and park my car!!! If they steal it.. oh well!!! tahts what insurance is for... besides they gotta know how to work air ride or my car aint moving!!!

they dont lie... I think they assume that greyhound ships direct but they dont!!! unfgortunately greyhound only ships that size package unless you pay an arm and a leg for personal carrier service.. but that is big $$$$!!!!

go for it, just make sure you got a way to pick it up!!!

Sup guys. Just to clarify Casper and I bought the hood from the same place. Yes its $400 shipped via greyhound to your nearest bus depot. You'll need a truck or suv to pick it, theres no way you can pick it up in the CL.
The company does suck ass. They barely speak english and took about 2 months to recieve the hood. They also told me the same BS story that the 1st hood they shipped to me was damaged. Hood is not a pefect fit and you will have to spend a couple hours to adjust it to your likeing.
My only advice is know what your getting into. You won't get the hood for atleast 2 months. You'll have to pick it up. Its not a perfect fit and will need work to fit. Knowing that if you think its still worth $400 then go for it. If expect a perfect fit without work or can't wait that long then this is not for you.

not to also mention the stock grille was no where near the fit of their cut out... the stock grille fell into a larger opening they cut out... I used mesh only.... so there's another CON to this hood!
