NOS HELP??? Wet or dry???

So I was almost finished installing a wet nitrous set-up in my 1997 3.0 CL, and when I was about to tap into the fuel, I realized there wasn't a place to safely do it. I immediately figured that I would just fall back to a dry set up. Now I am questioning a) Which is better for the 3.0 vtec motor wet or dry? b) If I do a dry system, will the computer compensate with fuel? c) Can I do a wet system with some sort of custom fitting to tap into fuel? d) What size nozzle will give me how many horse? Any input would be greatly appreciated as my car is in pieces and I need to finish this project ASAP. Thanks guys!

How much are you planning to spray? I have a dry zex 75 on my 2.3 for over a year, with no problems. If you want to spray something larger then a wet system is the only way to go.

I am doing a 60 shot. Will the computer compensate for that? Will it cause it to code??

Come on guys! I'm sure SOMEONE on this board has the answers to my questions. My car is on a lift in pieces, pending what I have to do to make the nitrous work. Can someone please respond so that I can get this thing running again. I would very much appreciate some help from fellow CL owners! Thanks!

no, you can do 75 shot and the computer wont throw a CEL code.

besides, for 60 shot why would you want to go wet anyway. i know it's better, but the price difference is not worth it unless you were going to start going over 75 shot and using dual-stages........etc.

just go with dry, you'll be fine.

oh....... and get a tranny cooler also.

Thanks 1genCL!! Thats all I needed to know! The reason I wanted to do wet is because I got the kit for FREE so I figured I would use it, but now I have to go buy a dry nozzle instead of the Y. I appreciate the help. How much / what kind is a good tranny cooler?

Sorry that I didn't see this sooner.

Now that your N2O question is answered;

I have a Hayden Tranny cooler. Read below:

I got my tranny cooler from www.bulkparts.com for $37.22 plus shipping. Click on "Transmission cooler index", then click on "HAYDEN Transaver Plus coolers
stacked plate ".

You'll need to have your tranny rebuilt/upgraded to handle the power you want.

They don't specify the tranny cooler for any specific car. The cooler is universal (fits all brands of automatics).

Just follow my instructions [Click on "Transmission cooler index", then click on "HAYDEN Transaver Plus coolers
stacked plate "] on how to get to the correct web page. I'd post a direct link to it, but the link just ends up getting you to their main page (not to the exact cooler).

Remember, it's Hayden model #OC-1677

As far as the tranny rebuild/upgrade; you need to find a shop that specializes in this type of modification (like Level 10). http://www.levelten.com/index.html
