no one knows???

i posted about the horn?? and no one could answer if the two wires taht seem to go to the front of the airbags are the ones of the horn?? it think they were red and black, i wanted to test it by just touchign them together but didnt know if tha would make the airbag deploy(big no no)

legendary i;m not complaining is that i;m kinda shocked, usually they know all this little things so i dont gotta go to the damn dealer and pay all that money. i;m just a bit disappointed

I looked through my 1997/1998 3.0CL Acura Service Manual, and there's not a single work or picture that shows the wires that you're talking about.

I'm not doubting you, but stating that I can't give you an answer because ACURA doen't include it in their fucking manual!


My guess is that it's listed in ther 2.2/2.3 Manual. Any components that are similar between the 3.0 and 2.X are ONLY listed in the 2.X Manual! [Which I don't have!]

thanks dust i know if you dont have the answer than its hopeless, but tell me this?? arent all the wires that are relatd to the SRS yellow?? so by process of elimination the two wires i;m talking about have to be the horn right?

All the stock accessory installation pics i got is of a 3.0. lol i dunno Y but all the foglights etc are the 3.0 pics. I like crap think reverse think reverse.

On my 99 3.0 the SRS wires have a yellow plug. The horn has a single black lead. The horn is probably activated if you touch that lead to a good ground. Make sure you ONLY ground the single lead.

There used to be a post that showed the leads and explained how to reset the SRS in detail. CAUTION! I would remove the bag completely if you haven't already before trying this. Look into what it takes to reset the SRS computer also.

Once you do, simply touch the black wire remaining in the steering wheel to any metal like the nut in the center. Try with key off first as most horns are directly connected to batteryor have a live horn relay. Good luck.
