NEX Suspension
NEX Suspension
I think that I have changed my mind and instead of going with tein, I think I am going to go with NEX SS Coilovers. I have heard that the spring rates on these are a little stiffer than teins and I think that might help keep it from bottoming out so much. Also, they have inner bump stops and that also sounds like a big plus so that I wont have to worry about cutting the bump stops or anything like that. And they are also only 600 compared to the 700 of the teins. And they are still adjustable to. What do you all think?
Can anyone who has/had NEX tell me how they like them?

^they seem to have the best price I have been able to find on these coilovers ($599).

Oh yeah! I forgot...is it just me or in that picture does it only have 2 of the upper mount bolts. Do you all think that they are just showing an example and they will send me one with 3 like my car has, or is that a problem? Thanks!!
ive heard of them from d98clturbo. he was researching them and wanted to go with them but then decided to go with tein SS and the EDFC.
i would stick with Tein but then its ur money.

Thanks a lot guys!! One more question though. I have heard that the Teins bottom out quite a bit. Is this really bad for the coilovers, or is it basically just not a comfortable ride when they bottom out?? If I were going over an average size speed bump at a very low speed (5mph), will the Teins bottom out? Im just trying to get an idea about how much of an issue this bottoming out is. Also, do Teins have built in bump stops like the NEX do?Thanks again guys!!
just depends on how low you are dropped. if you are only dropped 2 inches u aren't going to bottom out with TEINs. or anything basically... with a drop of 3.5 inches well u rub a lot... bottoming out in terms of scrapping the downpipe or muffler or something like that no... but tires hitting the fender liners yes.
TEIN is expensive for a reason. highly sought after and very good quality. if you don't plan on dropping it over 3 inches then go with the TEIN if you never want to rub at all... and if you plan on going lower then get the NEX and then you will never probably rub either. I have no experience with NEX but i got the SS on my car and i like them a lot.
