NEWB TO THIS CL FORUM. Have a few Questions.
Whats up, im new to this CL Forum. I'm actually apart of the Second Gen TL Forum and have been apart of that for a long time. Reason why im on here now is because my Girl got a 98CL Black with Black Intierior. I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me any major problems to expect with her CL and also what kind of CHEAP INEXPENSIVE SMALL MODS I CAN DO TO IT just to make it look a little better since hers is in bad shape. I wouldnt say its in the greatest shape but im gona do my best to wash it up, do some small mods if there are any and make sure it runs decent. I was also wondering if there is an intake resanator on that CL that i can remove. Also if anyone is selling 99 2.3CL OEM Rims, please let me know cuz i want to see about getting a set for her CL since the shit on hers is not the OEM ones. THERE SOME WACK ASS SHITTY LOOKIN RIMS THAT GOTS TO BE CHANGED. Thanks alot.

whats your definition of inexpensive... I mean, you can do clear corner turn signals... you can find those on ebay for around 20/30 dollars... you can put new gauges in the cluster... those can range anywhere from 10-70ish... you can get some cheapy fog lights out there for about 50-60...

SeaFoam... See also DIY!
Be ready for an oil change when you do this.
1. Pour 1/3 pint SF into your gas tank. Your tank should be no more than a quarter full.
2. Pour 1/3 pint SF into your crank case.
3. Pour remaining 1/3 pint SF into a cup or spray can cap.
4. Unhook the PCV or the brake booster line and step down to a 1/8" tube.
While the engine is running, use the suction from the disconnected vacume line to suck SF out of the cup. Do it slowly. Your engine will stumble and smoke. Your ecu will throw misfire and vacume codes. Just reset it when this step is complete.
5. From the final 2 to 3 oz of fluid in the cap, flood the hose to drown the engine. If your engine stumbles and will not die, turn off the key.
6. Reconnect the vacume line to the PCV or brake booster respectively. Let the stalled engine sit for 10 minutes..
7. Reset the ecu by disconnecting the (-) terminal for 30 seconds.
8. Reconnect the (-) battery terminal and start the engine. Your engine may stumble and fail to start for several turns of the crank. Keep trying, it will start after a choke or two.
9. Rev the engine to 3000 RPM, NO MORE THAN THAT! Several times, feathering and holding the throttle. Expect a smoke screen and a smell similar to a radiator leak. The smell is the SF burning don't be alarmed.
10. Turn off the engine and change the oil and filter.
11. Drive the car for a mile or so then fill the tank.
12. You are done. The smoke and smell will clear up after you have driven for several miles on the full tank. The smell will linger after the smoke clears. Takes a day or so depending on how much you drive.
Good luck
