The new whip! (56k maybe? :-/)
So as most people who lurk on these forums my CL was totaled (thread found here)
So here is what I replaced it with, 2001 BMW 330ci
Paid 11.5 for her... what a steal.

Nice wheels!
I bought my daugher a 1994 318IS, 5 spd several years ago. After replacing the clutch MC (almost impossible to access), ABS modulator (another piece of major mechanical surgery), RR wheel bearing, and roof interior liner (fell down all over), I had my fill and sold for what I paid. They sell easy due to sexy appearance, but unless you diy your wallet will be abused.
You know you're in for a real hosing when you visit a BMW repair shop w/ their coffee bar and wireless rooms.
I was out of my element. Let me have my Acura, Honda, Toyota!
good luck

I did get a killer deal, I got it for 11.5, which is what the dealer would offer me if I walked in to trade it in. Off the lot would be 14.9 15.9.
And yea yea everyone can hate on the auto but hey, I'll take what I can get! If someone can find me a 330ci MANUAL in my local area for 11.5 then let me know and I'll forever apologize for the auto

lol didn't realize people would debate over it. Both cars have their advantages But driving both cars is like night and day. The BMW is better IMO.

I must say, I prefer the ride of a European car over an Asian car, but I like the reliability of my CL. It's nice to know that I could easily get 200k-300k out of my car.
I used to have a Volvo 960 and I absolutely loved the ride. It felt smooth & solid, had pretty good acceleration, and the best turning radius I've ever seen. However, this is where the good things end. i spent, on average, about $700 a month on taking that thing to the shop until it threw the timing belt at 92,000mi (because at the 90,000mi check the stupid dealership didn't replace the belt like they were supposed to.)
My family is a Honda/Acura family and I wouldn't have it any other way.

where exactly in that statement by me do you read "BMWS ARE BETTER THAN ACURAS" ???
FYI i would love to buy an Acura over a BMW anyday, if i had the choice between two comparable models..
chill out man, i was simply referring to the status of BMW's because the post that i quoted said "its pimp" now dont even begin to tell me your acura or my acura can pick up more girls than that 330

i wouldnt really consider a car just solely for its pussy magnet factor, i've seen too many guys get owned on repairs and maintance just cause they drive something fancy and german. i'd rather drive an acura that wont let me down and keep my wallet full for other things rather than be pursued by gold diggers

my ...could have found a better deal. too many miles and going to cost you a bunch to repair. Have fun getting to the battery by the way..ha ha.
I'll never buy a used bmw. My friend bought a 325I (in dayton as well) with over 100K in it and it has been nothing but problems. He's spent at least 2K in repairs...no thankyou.
Good luck! maybe yours will be worry free.

Good decision man. After the 100k tuneup on BMW cars you should be fine. Reliablity honestly isn't as bad as people think. There are BMW lemons just as there are Acura lemons. As long as you stay on top of fluids and whatnot you will be fine. Plus, its atleast 10x cooler than the CL.
Last fall i almost got a 98 m3 with about 100k for 12,300. I passed it up, but it turned out to be a huge regret.
