The FCC number on the back of your current remote needs to match the FCC number on the new remote otherwise its not going to work. You could try to transfer the guts out of the old one into the new one.

hey man you can use the new remote, ask 1gencl, he has done the conversion, you can take your old remote insides and transfer them to the new remote, there is some filing and grinding needed to be done but that is nothing

yeah the FCC number needs to be the same in order for it to work.....or you can go to an acura dealer and have them program the new remote.....thats what my cousin did....
