New owner of a '99 2.3 5-speed. Anything I should check out?
 

Car has 170k miles. I changed the oil, checked all of the other fluids, did a 3-hole seafoam treatment, washed and oiled the air filter (K&N reusable).. Wondering what all else I should do. I don't know a whole lot about cars, I've been riding motorcycles exclusively for the last 6 years, so any tips or suggestions for cars in general or works specific to the CL would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any ideas why the functions of the Panic and Trunk buttons on my key fob are reversed?

Open the fob and you can flip the buttons around. Hope this helps.

I also just bought a 99 2.3 5spd. Did you experience any problems with yours after you bought it? My exhaust was rusted and full of holes so that had to be replaced. Also, basic maintenance stuff like belts, valve adjustment, new clutch had to be done. Hopefully not much more than this!
