New here i need your opinion guys?
Well im looking for a car, ive been looking at solaras, legend coupes, preludes etc. I came upon a 98 3.0cl with a 118k miles its pretty clean and i can get it for 5500. Is that a good price? What should i look for in a car that has 118k miles? Let me know, Thanks.

to find out used car pricing, their specs, their features...etc.
(here is the link for the 98' CL...dealer retail is between $7-8 thou.)http://www.edmunds.com/used/1998/acura/cl/index.html
Now, some people dont realise but the average car will gain 12,000 miles per yr. So, that 98' CL has higher miles, but will help lower the price. Out of the 4 cars you listed above, (Honda,Acura,Toyota) They all have great engines and will run for a loonngg time. (my aunts honda accord went to 220,000miles, my friends civic went 300,000...So you really dont need to freak out when you see that one of those cars has over 100K)
The major thing I would look for would be if the car is in good condition. Check for rust, scheduled maintenance services, make sure all the recalls are done. If possible, test drive them and take them to a local shop you trust, and have them check everything over. Run a car fax if possible. (you may be able to post the VIN #'s on here in the ramblings section, usaully someone has a "carfax account" and can run the VIN's for you, so you dont have to sign up and pay for it.)
Other than that, (im not sure if you plan on buying at a dealer or private party) but make sure you have an adult go with you to look and testdrive and buy.
As far as the cars, I dont know much about the solaras, but the preludes, legends and CL's are great. Now the legends are no longer made, and the CL took place of the Legend Coupe. (sadly, some legend coupes had nicer features than the CL, but, they will definitly have moe miles because their older)
For the CL's, the 2.x are 4 cyl and the 3.0's are v6's (the v6's are all automatic between the yrs 97-99) The Pre. models have a better stereo, leather doors, etc. (if you do a search on here, you can find just about anything your looking for.)
Lastly, I'm not sure if your a car nut like most of us, but were here to help. If you have any questions, you can click on my name (Acura3.0cl) and PM me questions. Im glad to help!
If your in to fixing up your car, I know that there is modifications you can do to the CL, legend and prelude. (again, not sure about the solaras)
Hope this helps a little! Good luck! -CJ

Yea, i was looking at a 3000GT but was told the Mitsu's engines kinda crap out after 60K miles...
If I were you, (depending on what you want in your car) I'd go for a CL, Prelude or Solara.
