New Headunit, Stock CD Changer

Does anyone have this type of setup? I tried installing a new headunit but I can't plug in my stock CD Changer to it. Aren't they compatible??? BTW, the headunit is an Alpine CDA-7863.

It sounds like you need an adaptor in order to plug the OEM changer to the aftermarket head unit. Your changer probably needs an 8-pin to AI-Net adapter. Check Alpine's site to see what the appropriate adapter would be, then go to eBay and see if it's listed (BTW, there are some on eBay).

Goldie ....

Best Buy?!?!? hahaha

They'd be like... what's Alpine? Get premier because it's pioneers flagship. (Premier is no more than a Premier tag, gold RCA's, and 3 year warrenty) Best Buy sucks and their tech guys don't know crap.

There should be an Alpine adaptor cuz when u want to connect an aftermarket changer to ur stock unit, the only one u can buy is alpine. Call them.
