New to the forum, Please Help!

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum, because I am thinking about buying a '98 CL. I was originally thinking of buying a '98 Audi A4 1.8TQ, but am now deciding against it because they are too unreliable. I have a some questions though and was hoping you could all help me. My first question is what kind of performance parts are available for this car (ECU, Exhaust, Turbo, SC, Intake?) Also is it possible to get a manual 3.0, I can only seem to find Auto? Do any companies make Clear Taillights or Projector Headlights? Does anyone know performance results for a 2.3 or 3.0 (0-60, 1/4 mile)? Thank You very much for any help, it is greatly appreciated!!!

well i'm a noob too so i'll tell you what i do know...there's not much in the area of forced induction for the 98 3.0 cl, there may be a few guys with superchargers but not a bunch, and more guys with shots of nawws.
more so because the tranny in this car is touchy...too much power tranny go break.
the more typical mods are headers, cold air intake, exhaust , and a few more thangs (ya'll other guys help me out)
no clear tails that i know of and all the projector headlights are custom made
hope this helps

a6's aren't that bad...at least you got the turbo already...and there's aloooot more aftermarket support for the audi...but welcome to the forum

holla back

Yeah as jz said in the area of forced induction its pretty much custom all the way either go turbo or put the comptech supercharger. To answer your question about a 3.0 in manual no there is no such thing only the 2.2/2.3 come in manual, so if u want manual u gotta go down a step in power. If you end up gettin a CL as jz said headers, exhaust, cold air intake, drop it rims, and u can do audio.

What about ECU Upgrade?

Are there any ECU upgrades available? Are CL's pretty reliable (more so than an Audi)? I own a Prelude now and have had minimal problems with it. Thanks again!

If you want to have a fast car I'll go with the audi because it's faster and with little mods I heard it can be really fast. You can always swap engines to a 2.2 or 2.3 though...
