New CL for everyone to see

Hey hows it going everyone? I'm new to the forums here but not to Honda's and especially CL's. My car is a 97 acura CL 2.2 black with black leather interior. Mods consist of mainly audio in my car. Ive owned this car for over a year and is the 3rd honda/acura I've owned. In order 95 honda civic ex(motor swap) 90 honda CRX (motor swap) and 97 Acura CL. This car was a replacement for my 98 grand cherokee that was stolen and stripped. Bought it for 4000 cash in miami with 82,000 miles on the odometer.

Yellow Top Optima under Hood
(2) Red Top Optima In the trunk
Mmats 2200.1
Hifonics 440
VRF1 100 watt
Dei Viper 791xv remote start
(2) 9" sunvisor tv's
Jensen flip out dvd player
(4) Kicker CVR 12"
Monster audio cable through out
Monster power wire 4 gauge through out
(4) monster audio fuses
(4) Polk audio 6 1/2" mids with tweeters
(4) 3" tw44 super tweeters
(2) 5" pyramid super tweeters
(2) pioneer 2" tweeters
(4) 6 1/2" emminence mids
(2) 8" emminence mids
(2) 6" Oxygen audio mids
custom fiberglass back deck
custom rear armrest to hold (2) 8" emminence
custom kick panels
custom bandpass box for Kicker CVR's 10 cu. ft.
Ipod connect
PS2 in the glove box

I think that just about covers it for all the things that have been done so far. I did almost everything to the car myself or with the help of a friend, and if I didnt do it myself I was right there helping. Im putting a center channel and tv where the rear view mirror used to be and I'm removing the airbag to put a tv there also. Also another custom piece to mold with the back armrest that will house (2) tweeters and a 7" tv. Car was a rebuildable title in florida. Also had to fix alignment, cv joints, get a new trunk, fiberglass front lip back together (stupid parking curbs), and that was about it.
Work in progress still. Let me know what you think...

Copy the IMG code (at the bottom) part on photobucket, not the HTML code
http://s258.photobucket.com/albums/hh274/haystak513/
looks nice. All audio tho. How much did that setup (not including the tvs) cost you?

Drivers Side Kick Panel

Passenger Side Kick Panel

Custom back arm rest

Custom fiberglass back deck

Another view of back deck with tweeter and hole for mid

View of the (4) 12" Kicker CVR through the port. Box is a bandpass so the subs are inverted to get some air through the port. The box is almost split in half by the baffle the subs sit on.

View from backseat of the 3 tv's

Box setup in the trunk Hifonics 440 on the left mmats 2200.1 on the right each with its own red top optima.

Close up of the mmats amp and battery setup

the "other" amp

Hifonics 4 channel amp

5% window tint during the day (very reflective impossible to see in)

5% window tint when its dark (still cant see in). Its very important in florida due to the weather, and all the thieves around.

whew. man that was a pain. anyways the total cost on the audio was 62.50 for each 12" kicker cvr. $40-80 per tweeter. 60-100 per mid speaker. material for box was $200. wiring was $300. Back deck was $100 in material. Rolls of dynamat cost $150. mmats amp was 350 intially and then $200 for mmats to check over and make brand new. 150 for the hifonics. 250 for the jensen flip out dvd. some stuff i aqcuired from doing swaps and things like that. These pics are from 6 months ago. I'm sorry my car isnt up to the forum standard. I guess this was the wrong place for me to go. There are no random holes in my car there are speakers and other crap to go there. Yes my interior is dirty. Yes my car is dirty. Im not a woman. And the back trunk is covered with vinyl to hide all wiring. To each his own I guess. Maybe Ill make a drag racer like some of you with my "luxury" car.

Holy hell that's a lot of audio, just a general question, why would you use red tops in the trunk instead of yellows? Deep cycles would have made much more sense. I can't see the pics here at work, but I can't wait.

Shit my 2000 Trans Am had 10 speaker monsoon system that sounded great, my 4runner has 10 or 12 speakers in it with surround sound, but that many speakers in a CL is just crazy, I have 8 highs speakers and 2 subs in my car and I thought it was overkill.

LMAO! Holy hell! Just read the post!
sooo... altogether you will have 5 TV screens up front!? Dude, just replace that PS2 with a PS3 instead.. That would actually be useful.

BTW, hope this isn't your DD, cuz if it is, if you get in an accident, you will have shards of TV screen in yo heezay.

here you go this is what I think everyone here is after: rims and a body kit.

Bought it as a used race car with half a race on it. Motor blew up. Around the tampa bay area anything that looks nice on the outside will get stolen and stripped. And until that happens you will get pulled over by the cops if you have rims and bodykits and all that and they accuse you of being a drug dealer or an immigrant. That is why I have not and will NOT touch the exterior of my CL. And yes my CL is almost completely done. I need a new paint job and new driver seat. Yes I like car audio alot and drag racing and everything in between. Many people sit down in my CL and never realize that anything has been done to it. Thats what I was after. They dont notice the speakers or the tv's or anything else. Every last speaker position was thought out and planned. It is a bass car. You can hear it coming for a ways. It is loud, very loud. Just the way I LIKE IT. When I want to drive fast I jump in the CRX. These are my fun cars. BTW there are 28 speakers in total. Oh yea the yellow top is a starter battery the two red tops are deep cycle. I got the red tops for 80 at a car shop because I was there when the delivery guy dropped both of them. All the wiring in the car is hidden now thank you. I will post newer pictures once I have a camera. Those pictures were when the car was halfway done almost 6 months ago. I finished my CRX before I even touched the CL. It takes time when you do it all yourself.

You guys are just jumping to conclusions. Theres always a rough draft before a clean, finished product right? He's not even done yet, he's just showing us what he has going so far. Nothing we say can be valid until he shows us his final product. And even then, if it IS a failure, i'd still applaud him for trying it.

We know it's an unfinished project but were just saying the interior looks ugly as heck right now.

WTF did you do to the poor CL man....................this is not the car for all that shit..........may be a Civic but definately not this car...........I dont even want to start man..........

and BTW this is not the forum you think it is you will get burned for all the crap in your car on here....

and for the money you spent on the audio system if you would have spent half that money or other upgrades you could have made this car look like a stunner.........

just my 2%....

man talk about spekers...........what were you thinking and trying to achieve.........a neighbourhood DJ car...............lol

I am juts trying to guide you in the right direction my man......put money in your ride such that it enhances its looks , drivability and performance....this will add real value to your ride not to mention the stealer looks so when it comes time for you to sell you will get your monies worth.........

and on here you will find enough direction and inputs on how to achieve that....

Where do the groceries go?

In highschool I had a buddy who had a wooden box just like that in his closet with bright light coming through the cracks. I'm not positive, but I guess he was raising crickets or grasshoppers or something in there...

For the rest of the car, I'm curious to see the finished product. It's butchered in those photos, but I'm sure the average supermodel looks pretty hacked up as well halfway through her cosmetic surgury.

We understand works in progress, but if you said these pics are 6 months old, then why not post more up to date pics? The pics you put up here would get you chased out of our AV forum, which is more where something like this belongs in the first place.
