New Car
So i am in the position now where i am able to buy a new car. Specifically the new Genesis. I can either keep the cl or trade it in. im leaning toward keeping it but would like to get your opinions on the car an whether or not you would trade in your cl.

Gen coupe = direct replacement for the CL.
Sell the CL buy mods for the Genesis or pay off some of your loan etc. Faster the car payment goes away the more cash you have each month for whatever.

CL in lawnmower status
it's always good to have a second car...
and a trade-in probably isn't gonna get you a whole lot for your cl IMO
keep it for a while, and sell it privately for the right price

nice choice, i love the 2.0t genesis i almost traded in my car for one if i wasnt going to take such a huge hit on trade in.
but you should part out and sell it privately.

as much as i hate hyundais, the genesis is impressive. you'll definitly get more money for the CL if you part it out and sell it privately. and if you do part out, i'll take those projos off your hands

go for the 2.0t. Tuners should be getting the gasp of the ECU and shit soon enough. It will be like those 2.0/1.8 Vw/Audis. 500$ chips and boom, 50 hp.

im trying to respond to this thread, but my 6 lb puppy wont stop licking my feet and i cant remember what iw as going to write. fuck.
EDIT: OH! yeah, but thats the v8 mustang, so its going to be hard to beat in a straight line stock, the 370 is just amazing in general, but the genesis has a huge aftermarket already and is seriously unique. not to mention you get rid of the sound dampening and your looking at a pretty lightweight car for its size.

my girl shopped the genesis. i really wanted to be impressed, because her aging, beat on tib gt has been soldier, and despite popular opinion, i think hyundai makes good cars for the money.
drove the turbo slushbox, it was a slug -- i'd wager the 6-spd would fare a bit better.
i wouldn't bother with the v6 if i wanted a serious performer.
when i looked under the hood, my suspicions were more than confirmed: the stock snail is microscopic, there is some decent l/e tq to be had for a 2L, but any rush is very short-lived.
interior was transparently suckage as well, despite the chrome parade...
2.0t + GT package + serious powah mods, or bust. the GT has some serious value going on there for the cost, and a generous aftermarket will be a certainty.
i wouldn't trade in the CL (made that mistake long ago) unless they offered the moon -- it doesn't deserve the sled value it will fetch.
