cool how much tat set u back. Right now i am missing my horn. Stupid previous owner. So it either $85 bucks for the dealer horn or install a new alarm with a shock sensor and nice pluses.

yeah but when your stereo and/or suspension and engine all get stolen you will wish you had spent a few bucks on a good alarm.

and the remote start is great for hot and cold weather.

godam, that is a lot. I guess when I put in more stereo stuff I get it done. Right now I don't have too much invested in my stereo. Just a sub and an amp. I have componets sitting in the closet right now.

Uh, we have a stock alarm. DUH I can't think of anything else you need except maybe the pager feature. Seems silly to me.

Stock + shock sensor is fine.

yes we have a wonder alarm. It so good that once u get the door open, just hit "unlock" on the door and it disable it.

How is that different from a properly installed aftermarket alarm and how do you suppose they get the door open?

Hmm some of it included Cut off switch, battery powered sirens, the things on the locks to prevent it from opening when the alarm is on, etc. Stuff like that. When I got locked out of my car, the locksmith just used a door stopped, pushed it into the door wedge, used a hanger and pushed the unlock switch. Took him 20 secs. He said if I had a real system alarm system it would have been more fun.

Is your stock alarm simply GONE? If you unlock my car from the inside, then open it from the outside - the alarm goes off.

You can add a battery powered siren to the stock alarm if you wanted. Prob same w/ battery cutoff.

Well if some one cut a key they could easily unlock the car and drive away with it. Aftermarket alarms are always better then the stock one.
Here are some of the things an aftermarket alarm offer that our car dosen't:

*Coil kill (if you have a manual)
*Adjustable shock sensor from outside the car.
*Backup battery (incase they pop your hood and disconnect your battery)
*Starter kill
*Louder siren
*Motion sensor
*Windows up/down/crack (nice feature in the summer)
*Car jack option
*Different mounting location

If you have an expensive stereo system it is a must to install a better alarm.

Oh the dealer can make a key or a locksmith if u have ur keycode. To get that keycode, u need a vin number and proof that you own the car. There a dude on ebay that will make a key for u. This is bad because 1, he knows where u live, 2 u don't know him, 3 he has to code always to make more. He can say get ur car at a later time so you might not think of it.

You guys have no sense of creativity. Only three things on that list can't be added to out stock alarm. For $500-700, they can have the car and I'll keep the insurance payout thank you.

Also, you can't "cut a key" and drive away. You can get in the car, but you ain't going anywhere. The keycode is only for the cut part, not the electronic.

Point is - if someone wants in your car - no alarm or anything is going to stop them.

Yeah right now I am missing the siren. My friend and I, in the beginning couldn't figure it out how to trigger the alarm to do it. Eventually figured out that my siren was just missing because the light flashes and we couldn't find the siren.

True but it make it a little harder to walk away with your $7000 sound system unless you have that covered under insurance but i know that most insurance companies dont cover aftermarket equip.

EDIT: There are no electronics in our keys that is what makes it so easy to steal.

That can't be right. I tried a cut key, didn't work. Dealer used a "clone" machine to "copy" the code, worked fine. Same thing w/ by buddy's accord. Both use the T5 key.

Well it mite depend on the yr. I have a 97 and had 2 keys cut there was no codes in it. When i 1st got my car i talked to my friend a honda tech, and he said that there is no chip in my key. So maybe after 97 they made the keys with chips.

Btw did you see that special on dateline?? They cut a key without any I.D. or legal ownership papers. They all were at dealerships also.
