Hello all,

I finally saved up a substantial amount of money for some serious work to finally be done on my '99 2.3CL (68k)

I painted my car in flame red a few months ago, but got scratched with a key by a pedestrian. I got that fixed.

I have $1000 to spend and I would need the experts from this forum to help me make some bang for the buck deals:

what I want to do:
-lower the car (what kit should I buy? price)
-18's that would match my car's bright red (how much with a good set of tires? rims tires could be used...)
-cold air intake (which brand, how much?)

the less I spend, the better obviously.

Since I am really a noob on cars, I wanted to know if anyone knew a place, garage who could take care of installing the lowering kit and intake. By the way, if anyone is in the Detroit area, his help would be very generously rewarded ;-)

Thanks all!

hahaha yah, i'm an idiot and let my friend BORROW 1800 for his rims yesterday, but they're 20's and look kick ass depends on what kinds rims you get though, I'd get some 17's for about 700 and then maybe an intake...if you have enough

17 inch rims and lowering springs would be nice,

or u could splurge on some ksport or omni coils and have pocket change,

teins wil run 1000 but they dont got as low as other coils.

you're not getting decent rims for a $1,000. So do the sportline drop or get coilovers and get headers. $1,000 aint gonna get you nothing major, you gotta pay to play the infamous Acurazine phrase
