need some help

my gear shifter is messed up, i have to sit there for 5 mins with my foot on the brake pressing the shifter button tring to get my car out of park.....


anyone have any ideas what this could be

Mine does the same thing every so often, Take you key and put in the keyhole beside your shifter. press in with the key and pull back on the shifter. put in neutral and start it up- try it


Mine started after i put on aftermarket shifter and then put oem back on. has not worked right ever since

Have you taken the shifter apart to check and see if everything is functioning ok?

Mine has the same problem every so often, just turn the steering wheel around and it will release, or turn the car on and off
