Need new paint Job

What up guys. I'm new to the site and I gotta say this forum is truely addictive. I've been looking around for about and hour and I've never seen so many nice lookin' cl's. Anyway, the paint on my 97 Cl is kinda warn down and scratched and I wanted to have it re-done. I'd hate to use a place like Maaco, but I don't know of any other spots. Any suggestions??? I live in the tri-state area by the way. thx

welcome to the site man.

u could go to a body shop and have that done, but it would be much more money than at maaco. the chances are that the quality would be a lot better also.

thanks guys. I'm anxious to get my car up to par with the rest of the cl's on here. I was looking at rims yesterday and saw some cool bbs's (17in) I might get with my tax return. I'll post a pic once there on.

If you can afford it, get 18" rims. They'll look much better than the 17" ones.

As for a paint job, avoid Maaco. That's great for people trying to fix up their primer-covered '77 Pintos, but won't cut it for a luxury coupe like the CL. Your best bet is to call local body shops and get price quotes, starting with whomever your local Acura dealer uses for body work. Chances are it's going to cost you an arm and a leg to get your entire car repainted--are you sure you need it?

Yeah, but if the tri-state area is as bas as Boston (aka pot hole central) you'll end up buying a new rim every month. I see a different pimped out Civic everyday with nice huge rims and 1 steel spare on. Cracked rims aren't worth an inch.
