I'm looking up diagrams at www.acuraautomotiveparts.com and it shows that the 3.0CL is has a rotor over hub system in the front vs the 2.2's hub over rotor? Is this true?
if so...
Does anyone know if the knuckles between the two are the same? and lastly... has anyone tried swapping 3.0 front rotors and hubs onto a 2.2 to get a rotor over hub setup?

and lastly, were the 3.0 CL's 4x114.3 or 5x114.3?

The 1997 3.0CL is a hub over rotor system. The 1998-99 3.0CL is a rotor over hub system. I'm not certain about the 2.2/2.3.

Not certain about the knuckles.

has anyone here tried swapping 98-99 3.0 CL rotor over hub systems onto a hub over rotor for easier rotor replacement? Anyone try the hub+rotor onto an earlier CL knuckle?

and... are the 97 3.0CL and 98-99 3.0CL knuckles the same? are those the same as the 2.2/2.3 CL knuckles?

I'm a 5g accord owner and so many parts are shared w/ 1st gen CL's so I'm looking for some possibilities here.

and one other question, does anyone know if the 1st gen TL shares the same design and parts as the 1st gen CL? I know they have a 5x114.3 rotor over hub design on their 3.2 v6 variants with difference knuckles, while the 2.5l variants got 4x114.3. Now anyone know if the 5-lug knuckle+hub+rotor would swap onto a 1st gen TL or possibly even a 1st gen CL?

and Lastly.... what is the rotor diameter of the 98-99 3.0 CL rotors, and the width in mm?

bump, i need more info.

Knuckles are the same as accord ones according to a cross ref between honda/acura dealers by another person i'm working w/ on this...

now I need to know...

what is the width of the rotors? And anyone know the piston size of the CL calipers?

also, anyone know what type of wheel bearings the 3.0 CL's w/ the rotor over hub design used?



I'm looking at the #25 hub, is the wheel bearing part of the hub? or do I need one of the other parts there for it??

did the 98-99 2.3 CL's have a rotor over hub design as well?? Brembo's rotor catalog seems to imply that with a diff part number and higher overall height.
