Need electronis help

I am wanting to put a tv in my car so that I can watch/listen to the news etc while commuting to Kansas University every day next year. I want to be able to switch between stations on the TV. Anyone know if this is possible? I know it is against the law for the driver, but I will be doing this myself.

If you're going to by a in-dash monitor or whatever, with some makes, you can just ground the parking brake wire and it'll "think" that the parking break is up all the time and then you go access all the features of your screen.

grounding the parking brake wire, that might actually work. Another thing that I was thinking about, is the that parking brake "gives" a little before it engages. For instance it clicks one, and then the parking brake light comes on, but the parking brake is not actually on. Do you think hat this would work?
