Hi all,

For those of you who missed my previous thread, my lovely CL and I went into an accident last week (hit by a senior driver... @_@).
Just got a call from the insurance company today, the inspector said my car is damaged pretty bad (frame bent, engine got pushed off... here are the pics if you want to see what happens to my lovely CL... link ) and its a write-off.

Don't know how much they will give me back for the car but I'll start my hunting for a new car.

What do you people think for the following choices?
1) New CL (maybe type-s)
2) The lovely 1st Gen CL (which i'll have to fight over the nightmare that i had)
3) Accord Coupe
4) Celica GT

Anyone know any known issue with those cars?

any thing but the Celica, i just dont like it for some reason.

 

ok.. my thoughts on those cars:

1. New Cl.... only in type-S.. not plain...
2. 1st Gen.... only if you can save your mods off your old one...
3. Accord.... I'd get your 1st gen back before an Accord...
4. Celica... slower than the CL.. I swear... Atleast I felt that way!

What are you figuring your $$$$ to be?
How about the WRX, Maxima at 260hp, Frontier(SC Crew Cab 4-dr)? there are alotta options depending on your $$$....

 

I think you should stay in the Acura family, but the Celica and new Eclipse are at least worth a look. You might be able to find a leftover 2001 Prelude at a local Honda dealer that you could get a real bargain on as well.
