its running iight i suppose. Hates the cold weather, it wont stay on in the cold unless i hold it to idle until the car gets relatively warm which i can't figure out why. Once its warm it runs fine though.
I think i have a vacuum leak in my brake booster since it was notched to fit the manifold, and a header leak, but getting the gasket should fix the header leak n i'll get a new brake booster n hopefully that'll fix it. I'm gonna head to shaun's crib in jerz this weekend to swap exhausts with his bro's accord and do some maintenance, she should be even better after that.
Hows your car coming along? Haven't heard from u in a while lol.

I got it from osakajdmmotors.com, the WORST company to buy from. Their price was so cheap that i just jumped on it without reading any reviews on them. Took forever to get the damn motor, then it came with no power steering, wire harness cut, and a myriad of other little issues. Motor turned out to mechanically be great, definitely tore it down to make sure of that, but their customer service sucks really bad. I guess its the luck of the draw with that company.
Lesson: Review and research before you buy, and break in periods are CRUCIAL!

Its in montreal isn't it? Because we have a shop named like that in Montreal, and it has a very very bad reputation here.

would anyone have any clue why my car doesn't like to stay on in cold weather? it wont idle unless i hold the gas or the brake pedal down to keep it on. I'm guessing there's a vacuum leak somewhere in my brake booster since i can hear a weird sound when i hold the break down and my idle jumps up from 700 to 950 rpm.

i wish mine would act like that. The highest she idles either way is around 900. When she's warm she'll idle at 600-750 which i think is low. I def think i have a bad brake booster cuz that would supply the vacuum to raise my idle back to 900. When i'm sitting still and pressing on the brakes, the idle raises to normal spot and i hear a whooshing sound from the engine bay as if its trying to suck in more air. Def a bad brake booster from my diagnosis, but then again that shouldn't stop the car from idling normally when it's cold.

then again the sticky skunk2 tb isn't helping. your tps can be adjusted manualy up or down. as far as surges you will have some such as when your abs kicks in or you turn your ac on or heat. do you have a IACV chris?
you still wana do the IACV swap with me. Ill give you a 2 pin and you give me a 3 pin. The third pin is only a ground which you can remove or add in yourself.

coming soon, gonna do some mods, fix my clutch which went out due to a spring coming out of the disc ( i'll never buy another Competition Clutches clutch again!), and take a photoshoot w/shaun.

Sweet swap. You defiently have a lot of time and money tied up in it. Will defiently be one quick CL when you get all the kinks worked out. Sorry to go back to the LS1 subject but its really funny it going in all these foreign cars. Ive got a buddy thats got one in his 300z. They are a really amazing motor that can put up some great numbers with minimal mods. Kinda off subject but ive got buddy thats putting an RB25 in his nissan frontier thats bagged and bodydropped. Im glad im not going to crazy putting an LS1 in my s10..

I allllmost finished my car today, i came to a screeching halt when i pulled off my clutch to find the face of my flywheel to be damaged beyond repair. So now i gotta wait till i get the new flywheel to put the car back together. FML.

Pointing to the collapsed clutch disc spring that caused the issue.
Other side. You can see how the spring caused the spring tensioner to raise up and come in contact w/the pressure plate, causing a grinding noise. (Its sticking out REALLLY far on one side, and not at all on the other)
got my finger on it here
my flywheel with its scarred face
Pressure Plate
Good ol' Competition Clutches!......NOT.

I was gonna get exedy stuff but I got a deal on all new ACT components, so my clutch flywheel n pressure plate will now be all ACT. I hope it holds up better than the last setup.
