My battery is old as shit and dieing...
My dimming problem is getting worse and now I can barley start the car. What is weird is that I put in a new battery that is fully charged and it still dims and won't start right... After about 10 or so turns of the key I can usually get it to start and when it does start the engine runs fine.
Is this still a alternator related problem? Or is this now a separate problem?
Seems super coincidental that all these problems just started happening last week. Before then, the only problem I had with this car was the common window reg fail.

hey bro, sorry to hear about your problems, but perhaps you would want to check the spark plugs, the wires, alternator and distributor cap? hopefully within those mentioned you'll find the answer to your problem. good luck!

Could also be a component is locked up. We had a BMW that wouldn't start due to a seized A/C compressor, cut the belt and ran like a champ. My guess would be the alternator though, take it to the auto parts store and they should be able to tell you if its good or bad. Good luck.

Good fuckin news!
Allllllllll rightt! Took it to Autozone, the guy was sure it was the battery, checked it with the thing, and it was only reading 100 crank amps which apperently isn't enough to start the car. Apperently my dad lied to me cause I just found out it's a 7 year old battery... When I finally started it, he was like, "Damn son, that car must love you." So I'm gonna swap batteries with the Sienna when it clears up outside and I should be good. We'll see.

Ended up buying a brand new JDM battery at Sams and everything works great!

Thought about pouring the shit from the old ass battery that he lied about into his Pepsi...
