Hello friends,

I'm planning on blackin out my car this summer: wheels, lights, trim, grill, tint, all that jazz. Your thoughts? Since i'm bringin it up anyway, anyone of you guys have this setup so I can take a peek at my future?

also... I'm sure many of you have seen those nice old ebay black housing headlights, the ones with the stripes on the outer most lense (here now you know what im' talkin about)

I personally think the stripes are hideous, do you think it'd be possible to open em up and take that out if done carefully enough?

Honestly, the most risky part of black housing your headlights is opening up and resealing them. You're better off just black housing your own lights.

 

Mine have already lost their sealing, there is so much moisture inside of them and some nasty looking film, you really think i'd be better off just cleaning them off and painting the housing?

 

Either do what your saying but youll spend extra money just to get them

third of what your gonna spend maybe less. Oh and search its been done by

he means do a projector light fitting. looks real nice. im in the process but now im scared to mess another headlight up...not because of the cutting but because i dropped it on a brick...lol


getting a pair of bare projectors, cutting holes in the back of the stock housing...fitting the projectors in those holes, baking the front of the housing, painting the inside black (so yes youd have to do that also i guess)...and then putting it all together

your bulbs have hints of brown at night, didnt really like it. and it had alot of bubbles in it since it was my first time tinting anything.

 

hmm, maybe ill just spray it with niteshadez stuff and clear coat it.

 

Anybody have black trim besides cocoa? I think that looks nasty.

 

that is sick, I really like the tail lights, how do you do that? his window tint is a bit much for my taste, but i wanna do that generally but with black trim too. and either ALL flat black rims or ALL glossy black, no silver lip on the rims

 

no lip is what i figured you wanted to do but i forget the guy on here that has all black wheels or i would have posted his pics he'll come in here shortly im sure. But you dont plan on tinting your windows? thats one of the main things of 'murdering out your car' when i think of a murdered out car i think of rob&big's big ass suv and that thing was limo tint all around, flat black paint job, everything was blacked out.

I'm trying for the same type of approach, but all i've done so far is the tail light tints (rockblocker), debadged the back, smoked corners and tints on the windows...I guess I also have one blacked out doughnut for a rim for the time being


I eventually want to drop and get 17-18's polished black with a chrome lip...But that also requires me having money.

I'm actually not IN boston, i'm like an hour away in fitchburg, one of massachusetts many shitty "cities."

yeah i havent made any progress in my car other than my muffler, intake, and NEW RADIATOR as of the other day.. haha. Fortunately my car was already debaged when i got it, but I think that may have been a result of the rear end collision it was in previous to my ownership (woman owned it before me ) So the residue of the 2.2CL badge is still there. Not to mention my A on the ass end is barely hanging on.

Funny story about my radiator actually. I went to my moms mechanic and got an estimate from him... $475 +. Fuck that guy. Bought my own radiator for 90 and had it installed for 80. word.

Yeah, I plan on doing a tint too, eventually.
