More tips please?
Ok, i am planning on lowering my car. I know that I will need lowering springs, but what are camber kits, coilovers, and anything else I may need. I have heard that if you lower more than 2" then you need a camber kit. Also my friend told me that I would have to replace my stock shocks as well.
Also, will I have to get my tires realligned? And If i decide to put my stock tires back on during winter, will I have to get them realligned again?
I am planning to put 17's on but the stock size as you all know are 16's.
Can anyone give me detailed info on each component and recommend a good combination. I don't need to drop my car too much, so the most cost effective approach would be the way I would go.
Jeez, thank god there is this board.
Thanks

Coilover are like height adjustable. The real coilovers give you a nice ride and all but they are around 1000 bucks or so where the coilover sleeves are a lot cheaper but the ride sucks (ask soopa he has ground control coilovers and isnt loving them). A camber kit will adjust your tires so they dont lean in (when you lower over like 1.5-2 inches you will need a camber kit or else your tires will look like this / CAR \ and will wear really fast on the insides. If i were you i would get the eibach pro kit springs. They lower around 1.5 inches and you can use your stock shocks for a while. Thats what i plan on doing soon and you dont need a camber kit (well most members say they dont.) The pro kits are also nice because everyone says the ride is very much like stock unlike lower drops that make your ride all bumpy, plus you wont bottom out very easily.
After you have your suspension done you will def. need and alignment and after you change tires you should always get an alignment. Hope this helps If you have any more questions just ask

You shouldnt need a camber kit unless your drop is 2" or more. I have the neuspeed springs with a 1.75" drop and it sets the car off nice. I heard after a few months the neuspeeds will sag a little bit and give you around a 2". I havent had to buy new shocks yet, mine are still doing good. You can get a set of neuspeed springs at aieonline.com for $129, thats about the cheapest price Ive ever seen. Good luck man.
