i like the stock seats, but they need more bolstering on the bottom sides so i can stop sliding around when i go through corners.
come to think of it, i loved the seats in my 2000 Caddy, i should try and find some, they were full leather, made by Recaro apparently, very good bolstering, all manual adjustment, but a perfect fit.
i think the only seats i would try to swap would be 2nd gen cl seats, since then i'd get full power and heated seats which i don't have in my 97

I was about to say the 2nd Gen CL Seats hold you in so you wont slide..ive taken some people for a "boot" in my car and right when i went around a corner they were like wow these seats are awsome lol That would be pretty cool if you swapped them in your car...there is afew sets forsale on KIJIJI.

Really man. You almost make me want to keep my baby and just get some nice wheels and drop her.
drop her...
as for me nothing has really changed on my car since i've dropped it besides looking sexy as hell and cornering a whole lot better. maybe a little extra tire wear due to camber, but i'll get the tires flipped soon, and have a whole lot of life left in them.
all i've really had happen is dent the header a bit up to where it's inline with the frame rail, and maybe have an exhaust leak due to said damage, but everything else is still working great
wheels would be sick, a little harder to find with our bolt pattern, but then again it'll be something you don't see everyday either.
and really for the kind of car it is, i don't forsee getting rid of mine anytime soon, little to no maintenance, good on gas, looks good, and now has a rack too, not much else i can ask for

yeah, for seats i'd almost need to find something local, just because those seats must be heavy as hell and thus expensive to ship.
but i think i'd probably pass anyways, most of the mods i'm doing or will do to the CL are either going to be small/cheap mods or universal ones that i can take off the car and use on the next car, or take off and sell

thanks Chris, you hatin on me cuz i get to daily drive mine?
and no, i am going to try to find wheels soon, cuz that clearance in the rear with the vs's for what tires i want to run is not going to work.
don't worry, if i can find 4 lug vs-xx's i should be able to find something good to replace them with, might take a little while to get new ones.
I think i'm going to try for some Eurolines finally, hopefully i can get some good specs, and decent sized tires that will work good for what i want... but who knows what i'll end up with.
and i guess i should clean up the wiring and finally take pics of the supertones i installed a little while ago. figured out the wiring mostly myself
and it's a build thread because i was cleaning the car up and putting these things on, but i had like 2 or 3 threads about the car that had been updated, so i thought i'd just put it all in one, and if people wanted to ask questions to ask it in this one
...and a roof rack is pretty damn sick, so don't hate on that
...and the wheels will hopefully go to someone here, still gotta clean em up and post a thread for them.

I'm using two sets of Q6 clips which is why both bars are attached at the front door, 18" apart
if you want the other towers further back you need rear Q73 clips and a Q stretch kit, which is like $200 or more, so i decided to stick with these as i was on a budget.
good luck

and to anyone wondering about the wheels
yes there is going to be a thread, i'm just really lazy, and i fucked up my wrists, so it might be a little while now

the second generation seats was what I was wanting to change mine to since mine are cloth seats and I like the rear seat on the second gen allot better especially the cup holders in the center arm rest. This is the thread I was asking about any other seats that would work in the 1st gen CL's https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-1997-1999-56/seats-776236/ . No one could tell me if the rears would be to wide to fit in there without to much modifications though. Would the fronts bolt right in? or would you need to swap tracks or something?

Nice Mitch... reminds me of when I first dropped my car on coilovers... slammed on the 97 stockies. I'd recommend rsx seats... thats what I got.... definitely comfy.. and definitely matches the interior nicely. Ever think about getting the type R front lip?

I am not to worried about the front seats, its the rear I am worried about fitting. I am sure I can modify some things to make the fronts work if I have to but not sure I could do the modifications on the rear. My ex wife has a RSX and I am not to keen on their seats myself, I would much rather have the second gen CL seats in there over any other seats myself

thanks
the only thing with seats is i find i need more lumbar support than most people, and i can't remember how it is in rsx seats, but they seem close to s2k seats from what i've seen.
nope i haven't, i personally think lips and skirts look ugly on most cars, especially the cl
also it would piss me off to have the front end so much lower than the rest of the body, for the sake of damage, and for the looks
