I'm pretty sure you already did this, but did you have the valves adjusted, and the timing done? Just offering suggestions

not only clean egr itself dont help. I tried it. u need to remove egr passages and clean it. then it is gonna run like a baby... Firestone does it for $100 but I am sure you can fine cheaper place to do it.
I did the same things u done before and it did not help until I went firestone and clean the egr passeges...

if and when u drive it does it stop at a certain speed, like its dying? if so then check ur cat it could be clogged. make sure u dont have a vacuume leak somewhere. check ur knock sensor make sure its not broke off, its only made of ceramic. and check ur spark plug wires, and make sure they are on the right firing order. then double check everything.

My guess is insufficient spark from one of your coil packs which would be a fairly simple fix and someone one could do themselves.
I went through the same problem when I had a Chevy Lumina, must have wasted $500 on mechanics who continued to fix the wrong thing (including the GM dealer)
Idiots

how handsome I am
Thought I'd bring this back from the dead - but guess what? Went to the mechs to see what the problem was with my misfire (it was STILL happening up until today) and guess what?
EGR valve. He says its probably dirty as hell.
So firestone cleans that shit out for 100$ huh?
-Alex
car ran smoothly the entire way home after mechs btw..

Peace, Love & Acura
The clean out is done with SeaFoam. That shit is the bombastic... blows the hell out of carbon. In fact, I know that the Honda/Acura dealers do a very similar proceedure to what my bro and I did to the Mistress. She smoked for a while after the treatment but after that, it was all good. Funny you guys mention Firestone... My bro has worked there for 13 years and is the lead tech at one of the local MasterCare centers. Kind of cool cause he can use the lift, and all those shop gadgets. As for the miss-fire, vacume hoses, sticking valves, coil packs, EGR, timing and ignition module and wiring, malfunctioning v-tech solinoid, damaged piston, oil foul, compression loss... blah blah blah. If it isn't something in that list, then you got yourself a grimlen, and he's working overtime.
