this was just over 2g's to fix. and i didnt get a new bumper. i think his car is toast. atleast 4-5g's to repair... the whole front lower frame is bent in..luckly it just bolts on. but the radiator support is done, radiator, condensor, hood, fenders, lt and rt frame is prolly bent in and needs to be streatched, headlights (like 600$ from acura) bumper, bumper cover front motor mounts prolly broken, plus all the shit we cant see inside... he'd be better off if they totalled it out. car will never be the same after its repaired from that.

 

damn I got my mountain racing accident fixed for 400 bucks......they straightened out everything...

The headlights are no good....they have chips out of them and the mounting brackets are snapped off. The only thing salvagable off them are the lenses.

by the way ...i need some heated seat switches if you have them.

 

 

Did your little green LEDs go out, My driver side switch had a problem with the LED, then when I had my stereo put in, the damn thing quit lighting all together. The seat still heats, just have to check to make sure it doesn't accidentaly get turned on. So Nick, how much for one of your switches? I know, wilp asked first. damn it man.

PS, clever about the commercial. It didn't dawn on me you were doing it on purpose. DUH. Oh, you should prolly total it. It will sqeak and grown and rattle if you try to fix it. Parts will never line up right again if the frame box is bent.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention, I am with State Farm as well. They are real good about taking care of shit like this. In fact, you could buy it back for pennies on the dolar and make bank parting the old girl out. Just a though.

I got the call today, they think it's totalled, the guy estimated about $4600 in damage just from looking at it. He never even asked about the bumper or where it was. Good to know I can buy it back so cheap, I may end up doing that, cause little do they know I already bought all the bumper parts. All that's needed now is the radiator, headlights, rad support, and hood, and I work for transpro radiators so I can get one cheap (I actually just replaced the radiator like 4 months ago )

 

jsut remember man when you think you hit rock bottom man, aint no way to go but up bro. and yeah i know the type of girl you are talkin about. when i had my old mazda B2K truck i hit a girl in one of them new mazda 6's and i have a bad knee now from where it hit the dash at 50 MPH. few weeks later my dad passed away(i was 16) and about 3 days after that i got fired from my job.

then for the good news. she pulled out in front of me so it was her fault and i got a settlement for 10k. her insurance bought me my RX-7 YAY. then about a month into my summer vacation after graduation my settlement came. bought the CL and used the rest to live off of bc i was unemployed at the time. got a job at UPS started doin minor visual upgrades and sound system stuff regular maintenance(tires brakes oil belts etc.) startin goin out partyin and shit and now life is good. but like i said earlier man, dont let shit get you down bc if you do youll never get back up.

I'm thinking I'm definately gonna get an S14 240sx to replace it with. I would get an s13 hatch, but they're so hard to come by these days, and I'd need to pay out of my pocket cause I can only get a loan on a 94+. if I can't find anything, I might see if I can buy back the CL.....I feel bad for it....just when I started to appreciate the thing I ruin it's life, or it ruins me, however you look at it.

lol. It really pains me because I should have had a bumper on it weeks ago. The guy doing my body work (his shop is right next to the warehouse I work at and he does stuff for my bro all the time and was giving me a great price) was doing projects as favors instead of doing my bumper that I already had paid for.

Use search, there's gotta be a FAQ about removing the bumper somewhere.

Everything worked out for the best.....my CL was on its way out anyways.....162k miles, had alot of dings/paint chips and was starting to rust in the rear wheel area. I was predicting tranny trouble in the near future cause it seemed to be making noises in 2nd and 3rd, and the accident was probably the only way possible to get all my money back on it. I got an 01 stratus 5spd coupe for about the same price (and is a very nice car despite what most people here seemed to have to say about it), and my insurance is actually lower on that than the CL even AFTER my accident.

 

yeah man the insurance company is probably gonna rape you raw dog. especially if you get another coupe.

 

I was paying $250/month on the acura and they lowered it to $190 a few weeks before the accident. The quote they gave me for the stratus was a few dollars less ($186 or something). Guess it depends on where you live, but around my area, rates on any honda/acura coupe are outrageous.

 

Yes, insurance does suck, especially when you get a 6 point ticket (aka my current status). Hopefully everything'll turn out in the end, and just remember: that bitch'll get what's coming to her someday...
