Manual tranny kit fo the 3.0 ! ! !

Guys, Aiden, who is well respected mechanic on v6performance.net is about to start offering manual tranny kits to the J30 accord guys. The kit will include everything (i.e. ecu, various nuts and bolts, and instructions) except for the Tranny. In case you don't know this guy is the guy who did the manual tranny swap for "JimmyRecluse" so he's already ironed out the bugs. Also he said that he'll make the kits on an individual basis so If anybody is interested I'm sure he can work something out for your CL. Oh, and the price will be a bit stepp (2,000-3,000) but if you get the tranny from him maybe you can work out a deal.

If I get my car repainted, I'll probably do this. But here's the question: The tranny bolted up in a 6th gen accord because they are similar in platform to the 2nd gen Cl. So how would the tranny bolt up into the 1st gen Cl, which is based off of the 5th gen accord, unless you make custom mounts?

Sure it's based on the 5 gen cl, but i'm pretty sure the motor is the same as the 6th gen cl. My friend has a 6th gen, and i've looked at the mounts and mounting location and it's the same by eye. I known of people putting cl motors into a 6th gen accord. So im guessing it fits perfectly as far as mounting.

i think even the people who has dont the swap have used the type s front tranny mount. and it still fit perfect. the hard part isnt puttin the tranny in. its trickin the ecu into thinkin its in drive all the time cause ull have the p and n rev limiter otherwise. if this kit goes thru then im def down. even over my level 10 upgrade. which by the way would be bout 2-3gs cheaper.

Sounds a bit high, but I'd would love to do a manual upgrade to my 3.0. wish it wasn't so expensive though.

It is pricy but look, remember it is a 6 speed, and not only that but if you get a CL-S 6 speed (as opposed to the new accord 6 speed) it'll come with a Limited Slip Differential which is something that cost guys with stock 5/6 speeds spend a nice chunk of coin to add to their whips.

damn but it'll come to like $5000-6000 after all the work, if not more... that's pretty pricey.

I would definately do it if it was a little less. Do you guys have an idea what
our car would be capable of?

Much less than the mustang I could build for just that price ;P.

You'd think y'all have nothing better to do with your money. Can't be the case or you wouldn't see people pondering the price. If you don't have enough in your piggy bank to think this is a cheap upgrade, don't bother.
