I was planning on buying this on ebay. It is a bolt on axle back exhaust by magnaflow. Would this fit? It wouldn't rub against the bumber causing it to melt right? How does it sound? I was looking for something that sounds deep and smooth and not too loud. thanks.

I can't comment on that particular exhaust, but I've done a lot of research recently on different boards and Magnaflow has one of the best reputations. I'm definatly going to buy my universal muffler from them. Most people remark that they add a deeper tone, but they're not much louder then stock. That is exactly what I want.

i have them on my cls 6 inch round stanless mufflers and with my engine it sounds good not too loud, im not sure how it would sound of a first gen but it sounds good on my car im real happy with them

As for magnaflow, I highly support their mufflers. I just got one a couple weeks ago and it sounds terrific. I used to have a dual DTM muffler and that was loud as shit. My new one is just a tad bit louder than stock but has a much deeper sound to it. As for the application, I dont know if you're going to need to bend it or not.

I was actually asking the same thing about 2 weeks ago. More people responded to my thread though. A few people with knowledge seemed to think that it might bolt on, and the only mod we would have to do would be bend hangers. But, i was hesitant on buying because i want a twin tip, rather than a single 4", so i didnt go with that magnaflow bolt on, although the price is great! There is only one way to find out, and that is to try it. Worst case scenario, you have to take it to a muffler shop and they make it fit, still a decent price for magnaflow.
