Machine vs man ? Help !!!

Wow.
I almost hit a guy jay-walking this morning. I was doing 50 (in a 45) in my Jeep Wrangler at early dawn when a navy guy dressed in black meandered across the road. I didn't see him coming because he jumped out in front of a box truck stopped to turn and he kept walking across the road. I swear I missed the guy by maybe 6 inches.
I continued driving home with the image of a navy guy getting caught on my tow hooks while getting pulled under the giant tires. To top off the drive home, a squirrel ran out in front of me after. Yeah, I hit the squirrel.

meh.. seen it before. I've seen worse. I saw a motorcycle accident in person where the guy flew off the bike without helmet at 60+ and his head broke open and his brains and fragments of his skull were streaked along the highway... now that was bad.
