Lowering the ride.

I got a 2.2 cl. Getting lowering springs. I'm going to lower the car to 1.7 in the front and 1.7 in the rear. Anyone get the eibach drop 1.7f/r? Is the front going to be higher than the back with this drop? Also did anyone get this drop without getting a camber kit and aftermarket shocks? If so how was the ride? By the way, I did a search and read almost all the threads.

From what I know (correct me if I am wrong):

Camber kit- makes the car have less tire wear.
Shocks - makes the car a better ride.

I am trying to do some research before I buy it. Thanks

I hav ethe Eibach pro-kits....drops about that much (1.7)

Yeah, if you get shocks, try to go for the Koni's...they are nice

Camber kits do help...but for pro-kit...it isn't required

Pro-kit is nice....ride is nice on factory struts

if you go lower than 1.5" inches you need a camber kit...just for the front......also, you need shocks when you lower the car....if youre doin eibach sport's (1.7") then i'd reccomend kyb agx's and an ingalls front camber kit. The ride will be amazing when you do it! youll also need an alignment!

but trust me on the camber kit.........

With the sportline drop you will need a camber kit otherwise you will be going through tires every few months. Also with this drop you will blow your factory shocks pretty quick. Its better to get the spring/schock combo together because it isnt anymore to have them installed at the same time.

I got H & R 1.75 front/ 1.5 back...I do NOT have aftermarket shock, and I do NOT have a camber kit. I can barely keep the car on the road!!lol..as far as I can tell, shocks are a must, but I think the camber of my wheels are the same...I guess we will see. Just remember, you have to spend money...don't go half abs.

I started out with just sportlines, i went through my front tires in less than 3 months. Additionally, during that same amount of time i blew all 4 of my factory shocks. Save yourself the time and money and do it all at once.

One last thing. A dude quoted me for 750.00 for springs (eibach), camberkit and shocks. He told me if I get the one he recommend no matter how low you drop the car it will ride like stock. Is that expensive? How much did most of you guys spend for the whole setup???

I need front and rear camber kits, even with just a 1.5" (Pro-Kit) drop!

I think dust has a special pro kit or sumthing. It looks more than a 1.5" drop.
I have lightspeeds and kyb agx's currently. I'm dropped about 3". Front Ignalls and rear washers.
