Looking to sell, what's a decent price?

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of trying to find a new car. The CL still runs strong, but it's time to get into the 21st century. I was wondering if you guys have any idea how much I could get for my car. The details are as follows:

White 1999 2.3 CL
5spd mt
153,000 (just passed 153k this morning)
No accidents
Paint in decent condition. A few nicks on the front, but nothing major.

Current set-up includes:
CAI
Magnaflow exhaust
Prelude short shifter
Ebiach springs (prokit)
MTX 12" sub
Alpine HU
along w/ various small details.

Talked to a dealer recently and he said he might be able to get me $2k for it. Should I consider that or try to sell it on my own? The thing I'm worried about is that the car is very loud, and probably unappealing to most people who would come test drive it...also trading it in may outweigh the hassle of selling it on my own if I'm only going to get a few hundred bucks more. How is the used market for our cars?

2K on a trade in isn't bad, you may get another grand or so on private sale, but really depends on how much effort you want to put into it

Damn, if you were mechanically inclined, I would love to take those eibach prokit springs off yours before you trade/sell. I'd say given your mods and if the condition is as good as claimed you could get 2.5k for it in private. Having more cash on the spot for a new car can be a bargaining chip at the dealer.

2 thousand is prtty cheap - what condition is the car in ? .. post pics ..

The value of a car depends alot on the interior as well - I would say in good condition you should be able to get 4 - 5 G's for it -

Make sure you detail it first - that does alot to re -sale a car.
