Looking for a hood for 2.3

Are there any places besides the dealer that sell hoods for a 98 CL. Im not interested in that carbon fiber hood that recently came out, something fishy about that whole deal. Please help, thanks.

there's nothing fishy about that C/F hood thing

...you can try a scrap yard but they almost never have CLs in

scrap yard might work, or sometimes they pop up on ebay. There's nothing fishy about the c/f group buy. It's a real company, unlike the last group buy that was attempted. If I were you, I'd get the c/f hood, but that's just me.

OK...first off, theres a 1st gen hood for sale in the black market unless its already sold.
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-97-cl-front-end-%2Amint%2A-301978/

Other than that....check out my situation...

Ive had a busted up hood for over a year. Every few weeks ive called local salvage/scrap yards and checked on internet sites for hoods *somewhat* close to my location. (Didnt find a damn thing and ive been looking for a year)

the local Acura dealer quoted me like $600 for a new hood, then + primer and paint and install, everything came to about $1200 total...

This carbon fiber hood is only $460 + ~$100 shipping = less than $600 for a *custom made* carbon fiber hood by VIS (a VERY well respected CF company)

What you do is up to you, but I looked for over a year, and actually ended up spending 1/2 what Acura wanted for an OEM hood, and im getting a Custom Made Carbon fiber hood thats lighter, aftermarket, looks better, AND theres only 20 being made right now...

try here... http://www.car-part.com/
But keep inmind, these hood from the salvage yard will probably have to be sanded down, dents fixed, and repainted (so keep that in mind)

the carbon fiber hood deal has already been confirmed by one of the administrators on the forum.

The seller is an official vendor on the forum (meaning he's paying fees for that title)

I dont see anything fishy about that.

There are only 5 spots left... if you'd like a new hood, you may want to jump on this.

You can have my hood for free if you don't mind a small dent, just wait 2 months for my CF...
