LED turn signals
Hi, I installed some clear bumper light/turn signals in my 97, and tracked down some 7440 amber LED's for the turn signals. But they now flash double speed, like there is a burned out bulb, only they work fine. I'm pretty sure its because of the low power draw of the LED's making the car think the light is burned out. So I'm wondering if anybody has experienced this, if there's a way around it to get a normal flash with the LED's, or if I'm going to have to ditch them and get some of the silver colored amber bulbs. I want to keep it with amber to keep it legal.
On a side note, I have a set of stock light assemblies for sale. They are in average shape- minor pitting from normal use, no cracks or chips. Hit me up if you're interested.

Nevermind, I found some replacement normal style silver coated amber bulbs for cheap so I've bought them. I found the solution supposedly on eBay. There is a guy selling a "LED turn signal 6 ohm equalizer" that supposedly makes up the difference in power draw of the LED's and allows them to function and flash normally. But they were more expensive ($7 each X 2, plus shipping) than the regular bulbs. The stock housings are still for sale.

Here's one of the sites I saw for the LED fix:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...31203&tc=photo
From what I gather, new signals go for around $35-40 each online on the sites I saw, surely much more from the stealer. These are used, but are in good shape. Say $30 shipped USPS for the pair.
Apparenly I can't link pics to the forum, and I don't have an online host. If you want pics, I can email them no prob.
