LAST night: H22 CL, GSR, 3.0CL, Spec-V, RSX-S all raced each other

Well last night Cocoa (chris) and I met up again and had alot of fun races! He brought two friends, and I had a few friends with me too.

I raced my friends Spec-V first. (still from a roll cause my mount inserts haven't came in yet Raced him 5 times and won all but once. From a 2nd or 3rd gear roll I pull at least two cars everytime) The one time I lost was from like a 5 mph roll and I wasn't in vtec yet so he took off hard on me. I was pulling back, but traffic was comming so I backed off. I lost that one by almost a car length. (spec has e/i)

Next Cocoa's 3.0 raced my friends Spec-V from a stop. 1st race Spec-V missed second gear and chris won by about a car. Second race was clean and the Spec-V won by about a car. That race was kinda up a hill tho, so I don't know if that affected it. (cocoa has e/i/h/p/vafc)

Next 3.0CL vs. GSR. GSR had a great launch and won by like a car and a half. (GSR has e/i/h/ intake manifold)

After that the RSX-s (i/e/vafc) raced the GSR and lost by like a carlength cause he bogged the launch. Then the rsx raced the spec-v (spec always beats that GSR) And the RSX won. Just shows how important the launch is.

Then we got on the freeway, and me and Cocoa went at it. h22 vs. 3.0 again We figured it would be about dead even since last time we raced, nobody pulled in 3rd or 4th gear. Well only thing I can think of that made a difference was that I had a 175 lbs friend in the car + my golf clubs and sub box My friend had a camera and thats why he was in there. He filmed all the races with me and the spec-v, but his F-ing camera died halfway through me and chris's 1st race First race was from about 40mph and chris's 3.0 pulled HARD on me right from the start. I was like WTF?? I wasn't quite in VTEC yet, but still no excuses. I took it to like 90 and had no chance of catching him. He won by a good car and a half Next 3 races we went from about 60mph, this was a little better spot for me to start since I was atleast in vtec. All 3 of the next races were the same. Cocoa dropped it to D2, and pulled about half a car on me, and then once I shifted to fourth I would finally start pulling on him pretty good. I pulled just about a half car ahead everytime and then stopped.
It was strange because last time we both couldn't go anywhere on each other in 3rd or 4th... I mean yeah I had a passenger, so I understand him pulling a little at first, but I don't know how I pulled back?? I think all the races from a roll kinda depend who is more in their sweetspot from the start.

Finally I ran the h22 against the GSR, this was on the freeway. I still had my passenger and he was gutted, but he still got owned everytime Went twice from 60, and twice from 80 and I won by more than a carlength everytime.

Damn we were so close to getting our CL vs. CL races on film:o Next time for sure we will get it on film, and we'll make it fair (each one passenger) and i'll gut my backseat and subs like Cocoa) So that you guys can see. I'm sure it'll still be real close. Oh and were gonna go from a stop next time too cause my mount inserts will be in

97-thanks

duece these runs were in temecula/murrieta. its like 45-50 min south of diamond bar.

My buddies single turbo rx-7 was there that dynoed over 350 rwhp, but there was nobody there for him to race.

BTW-chris did you see it? he rolled up when we were @ that third spot by the dirt. I know your friends saw it. Oh and that guy with the turbo IS and BWM is alright, he just seems really shy/quiet, guess thats why I thought he was havin additude last time bout the water in the road.

Yea, i raced that gsr on the freeway and took him....but when he would get a jump on me, he would win....but either way i was giving him a good run for the money, hehe.......told you, when i race off the start it sux.....i know now for a fact your gonna kill me from a dead stop, i gotta figure out something so i can get a good start from the stop to make our rcaes more even, otherwise you'll be winning by about 1 1/2 cars, i can already tell.......but yea, running from a roll, is all good for me, told you....all about that 1st and 2nd gear at high rpm's....hehe....hey, I think we post some of the best "threads" here...lol......

Yeah i think so too, but I think everyone is getting sick of us not getting it on tape Oh and I think I know what your talking about when you thought I went early that one time. While I was counting I floored it right on/before I said 3, but I didn't release the clutch untill right after 3. I reved it up and poped it from a roll twice to see if it made a difference, but i don't think it did.

OMG!!!....i forgot to tell you, that whole mountain racing (or just driving fast, whateverz) if fucking scary.....they told me if you fuck up, you die...but since i use to drive on the moutians by my house pretty fast, i didnt think it be that much worse, and they told me is was gonna have sharper turns......these turns we literally 1/4 mile long that made a 360 degree......i was like, when the fuck is this turn gonna end.....it was a 25mph zone(on that turn only) and we were taking it at 50-55mph.......and the other turns we were taking at around 65-75.......but i saw quite a few guard rails, so i felt pretty asafe....untill we took thi one turn....i was taking it at around 70 coming off, and there it was....the view of the whole city.....bout a long ass way down....and no guard rail...they told me never to look down, and i did....I psychied myself out big time....turns they were taking at over 60, i was taking at 40 and slamming on the brakes thinkinig i was gonna run into the moutain....i got soo scared after that...i couldnt keep going.....fuck that shit....i'm down to speed on turns, but not that fucking road...screw that shit.....i'm sticking with my straight lines.....

SooDARK has the gearing advantage. The h22trans is great for off the line gearing. Cocoa only if you had a 6sp. The 04 accord v6 6sps are running 14.1's with I/E.

I been racing for 4 yrs....and been racing my CL since I got her (3 yrs)....but i treat her very nicely by doing a complete tranny flush every 10,000 miles(mobil 1 synthetic tranny fluid)....it stays nice and red......and do the usuall oil changes(castrol or royal purple), timing belts, plugs....give her her new fuel filter every 20,000 miles....radiator flush whenever i get bored (every 3-4 months)..change the brake fluids.....the works....and I do this simply because i know i bang her good everyday (hehe)....

I'd look into getting a type-s throttle body and fuel pump. Some wires and new plugs.

I think the might but the gains are minimal if anything with those things. It would be more worth your while to have work done on the intake manifold.
