Anyone have any reccomendations on aftermarket shocks for the 3.0cl? I was thinking of getting the KYB's.
Also will aftermarket shocks raise or lower my ride? I have progressive rate springs with about a 2.5 inch drop.

dude i am getting tokico's illumina's they are externally adjustable up to five stages. They are pricey though 115/ea

I have the KYB AGX. They nice... a little hard sometimes... but nice. I've heard they're better than the tokico's. I had to choose between the 2 also. If you have the money... go Koni yellow's.

They lower your car a tad... when it settles.

I just installed Eibach Pro Spring Kit with Tokico shocks. Car sits low and still rides great. Lowering springs won't work with factory shocks. Tears them up after a while. Added a set of 19" wheels for show. Take a look at www.customautos.net

 

i use TOKICO shocks, and i think its doing well! two of my friends use KYBs on a 318i and a M3, they like it! its just that KYB is harder than TOKICOs, but TOKICOs are more ajustable~

Did the tokocio's lower your car in addition to your springs? The reason I ask is I'm down about 2.25 inches with 18's on my stock shocks and I can't afford to go any lower, else I'll rub.
