K&N Tyhoon CAI Question

I was just wondering if anyone out there has tried using this CAI from K&N for a 98-02 Honda Accord 6Cyl?

I currently have an Acura 3.0 CL and wanted to know if this could be used and whether a Bypass valve can be fitted on it.

Can anyone out there help with this? And is $130 Shipped cheap for this intake with K&N's filter. BTW the piping is 3".

Appreciate any help from anyone.

Thx!

I didnt know that they made cold air intakes. If it is then it seems like a good deal, do for it- it should fit

I got a regular CAI on ebay for $75+shipping....then bought an bypass valve for another $35+shipping to fit it...as for the CAI...its up to u...i belive most intakes are the same and im pleased with mine, it added 7HP...as far as the bypass valve, i got one not knowing much about them but knowing they say it will shut off the intake if water get into it...well if you've ever seen the bypass valve test done by AEM...its pretty crappy if you ask me...they stuck the cone in a fishtank and the bypass valve brought in the air....yea no kidden, because there was no air being sucked up the cone like it would be in your car...from what i heard, the test was a bunch of crap and if you were gonna get submerged in water, the bypass valve wont do anything special...thats only what ive heard though...i bought it. . .i donno

How did you get 7HP from just an intake? Did you have a dyno done to comfirm this gain? Sorry but I don't you gain that much HP from just an intake.

Thanks for your help y'all I greatly appreciate all your responses. I wanted to buy a generic intake from ebay but they (cosmo racing) said that their tube is a 2.75". I want to go with the 3" (I know I'm picky but it's all about performance, at least that's what goes on in my mind). Procarparts used to have the Blue CAI for a 98 6cyl Accord but they just stopped carrying it altogether.

BTW here's a pic of the K&N Typhoon CAI

I think I should go for it but still need advice from all of you if possible. I mean I just got $7K to spend on my car so $130 isn't that bad right?!!!

Thanks again moforose3.0, Acura3.0CL, dcsquirm88, and everyone else!
