The ignition is stock, I'm pretty sure the stock ignition system will suffice if you go the route of standalone engine management and get everything tuned properly. As for the guages, I think they should be one of the last things to buy when peicing together a kit. I haven't thought too much about where I'm going to mount guages in my CL, anyone have ideas? I figure I'll get boost, oil pressure, and possibly a/f.
oh, and what do you mean by boost P/H/W?

AgentOrange- I sent them a long time ago, I hope they didn't lose them because I sent them on january 5th with USPS parcel post. I don't think I kept the reciept tho because I've never had a problem with them before. I would have assumed you had gotten them by now.

P/H/W means peak, hold, warning, just shows you when you might start overboosting, gives you a little more of a read on the turbo.

i've seen 2 gauges hidden in the cup holders which was cool, but then no cup holders and i saw a nice setup in the glove box once.

i for one like my things hidden and to keep it looking as oem as possible. pillar pods are definitely asking for way too much attention. sleeper for me.

peace

I agree that the pillar pods draw lot of unwanted attention, but they are cheap and easy. Having guages hidden seems kindof pointless since you wouldn't be able to monitor anything while driving. Half the point of the guages IMO is for the driver to know right away if everything is running okay. If I get boost spiking or an oil pressure problem, I want to know right away so I can stop beating on it.
I like the idea of rigging up something up in the console or on the dash but I'm not too sure what to do.

yea, I agree with you blenz, but the intercooler might give it away anyways lol. I would love to find a way to mount them in my actual dash or like in the center console, possibly underneath the stock cd player in that extra space we have? That sounds like something feasible. We will see. I'll take a look at sizing when I go home in a week, see what might work.

Are there electronic management systems where all the indicators are shown on one screen, rather than getting gauges?

yea, I think they do, but they are incredibly expensive, not something I can put my money towards yet.

I still think the cup holder is a great place for the more important ones, as long as you can see them while driving you're good. then put the others where you can check from time to time. dont need them all in your face 24/7.

subaru didn't even give me a boost guage!

Yea, idk about the cup holders cause I actually use them lol. I'm definitely going to look into doing some custom gauges under the cd player, I think that might be cool.
