just picked up a CL and no chirp sound from keyless entry

I just picked up a 99 CL. I noticed that I don't hear any type of chirp noise from the alarm when arming/disarming. I tested the panic button and that works fine. Would reprogramming the remote allow me to gain the chirp noise? Any info would definitely help. Thanks.

i don't think the oem alarm has the chirp sound when arming and disarming

no it does, theres a certain combination of buttons you have to hold in, try searching for it and it should come up.

press the lock and trunk buttons until you see the red light blink

Ok I will try that and let you know what happens.

Yep that was it. After holding down the trunk and lock, I was able to get the chirp. Thanks so much for that.

haha, I didnt know you could do that, only time I've had it chirp, is when I arm it too fast, like before the door completely closes or wifey's door is ajar.

nice feature really. Except for those damn radio codes, swapped out my battery(first time I'd unplugged her) and wtf.....a call to Acura fixed that though
