Just did first half of 9005 swap
I just put in my first 9005 bulb in the low beam and damn, it's nice and bright, even during the day. I'm gonna wait til it's dark to put the other one in so i can check out the difference.
All it took was burning a little rubber with a soldering iron, and it fits not as tight as the original, but tight enough.
Yeah i know but i won't have a camera handy til next week so it'll have to wait.
BTW, I used plain old GE bulbs from walmart that cost all of $7.44 a piece.

Yeah....hyper whites don't differ that much....usually best with stock bulbs
You had to solder? i didn't solder anything when I did it temporarily....just had some cutters and cut off that little bump thing inside the plug...and cut a piece of the outside securing part thing

It's nice and bright for me on the road, i thought they were aimed a little high but no one flashed me so ill leave it as is. Overall im happy.

i used the screw bit on my dremel
i notice mine are aimed a bit high but i think it's due to the fact that the tips of the bulbs are not blacked out so the light goes everywhere

I was gonna do that but the one from the 9006 bulb was slightly bigger in diameter and it didnt really fit snugly around the 9005. Plus one snapped while i was trying to pull it off.
