In regards to going to FL for pick up stockies, and whether it'd be worth it or not. My answer is simple:

How much would it cost for you to make a road trip down there? Include, gas, wear and tear, lost wages from work, hotel (if needed) and anything else I missed.

And then ask yourself if the price outweighs the cost of replacing the rim or rims.

It's the only thing i can think of. Sucks you have to go through this. I highly doubt your frame is bent by the looks of the accident. I've hit the side of a mountain at roughly 30mph and didnt do any frame damage. But then again, you can't tell by eye balling it, it's gotta be measured. Goodluck.

Doesn't sound too fair .

What do you think of the idea of going home for

a weekend just to bring back my stockies and my 18s?

I can get more money for the Toyota down here than

I can in NY. I know that for a fact.

Plus I'd rather have the satisfaction of charging some jerk-off

7 or 8 hundred bucks for a car I payed 700 for than sell it for

4 or 5 hundred bucks back in NY.
thats a huge inconvience to go back to ny and drive back down. if i got a flat when i let you borrow my donut i would laugh my ass off becuase that is some funny shit. i still think people would help you out. they would be aware of the risk, but those are some slim odds.

you also got to factor in gas and if you stay at a hotel again. that lowers your selling price of the toyota in FL.

if you do come up here bring me your lamp and one of your others so I can repair it. IT should take about an hour to fix if the damage is just to the housing.

AND DAMN!!! that fucker hit you hard. i don't buy his dropping a cig. unless dropping a sig means doing about 25-30mph. fucking tard. you know if he got a ticket? you cant do that kind of damage without being reckless.

peace

Dude, I think your bumper was a godsend.... Look what could have happened. You have to fix the CL as opposed to spending the next couple weeks looking for a new car cuz that car port fell on your car. Fuckin sucks man... But it could be worse... I feel for ya though...

He Lied to me.

About 30 minutes after I took these pictures,

GianJ30A came over to kick it for a few.

He helped me move all of my personal belongings out

of the car and into the apartment. While out there,

we bump into douchebag. I say to Gian, hey I've got

to ask this kid how fast he was going because he may

have bent my frame. The kid is getting into some girl's

car and I flag them down and approach this kid with

"How fast where you going when you hit my car?"

He comes back with a nervous reply of 10 Mph.

I tell him look at the car port. He still says "10 Mph".

Then I proceed to question him,

"How did you know how fast you were going if

you were picking up a cigarette from the floor?"

He was shook out of his pants.

He didn't know what to say and didn't

want to look like more of an idiot in

front of the girl he was with.

Damn man, I can't believe how much damage he did, I hope that's not serious frame damage, but I can't believe how much shit is bent up. He was probably trying to "drift" or something and took out your car and the car port. That's fucked up man, I just saw my neighbor do that same hit on the support to their deck, and the deck collapsed on the roof of their explorer Yeah, he was "drifting" or doing donuts in his driveway

its almost the same thing in nj. careless is one point less i believe. also fuck that kid. he's an idiot and he fucked up. his pockets will hurt and maybe he learned something. i would not waste any time on him.

also the fact that someone stopped him or he stayed after the accident is awesome. he could have just drove away no? or does he live in that complex as well?

bright side is you can get your bumper fixed right this time (yours was off), that one corner lens should be fixed, i can make an adj to your lamp, and you should be getting at least one new oem headlamp. NOW YOU KNOW WHY I TOLD YOU TO KEEP THOSE SPARES!!! would suck ass trying to source a lamp in a short time.

and seriously that roof def could have came down and all your $$$$ gone.

you'll be straight man and i would prob park with the ass end out from now on. rear end damage is so much cheaper like someone else said.

peace

Don't know if i'm a lil late on this, but if a kid hit my car and that was his story, i would've snatched him out the car and beat his ass wit a 10MPH sign

Not hard to figure out, anyone who's ever been in a crash knows that isn't a 10 MPH hit, looking at the bumper supports since I have my bumper off, there's NO WAY that kid was going 10, especially once you count in the carport on top.

i surely hope that its not going to be a bad day tomorrow.

The Insurance Adjuster is coming tomorrow to meet me at the

body shop to determine what is the cars value and how much

damage is done. I really hope that they dont total it.

I'll be really upset.

9AM Tomorrow morning is the moment of truth

The HEADLIGHTS ARE OFF!

I am gonna take some pics of them tonight to show you what we

are working with. What are the possibilties of damaging the

headlights if you put them in the oven with the projector

still inside the headlamp. Do you smell a DIY ?

Its fine but you must put aluminum foil on a baking sheet or you will melt the housing. Also do not go over 225 degrees. I would do 200 for about 6-8 mins.

I need to see the pics and you should prob call me after.
