Wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to this forum and CLs in general. I just picked up a 97 2.2 5spd a few weeks ago. It's my driver, so the plan is to keep it stock for a bit, but...I do have a bid in on ebay for a NSX engine

My immediate concern, however, is that I'm getting some screwy noises from the driver's side rear of the car. First, I get a clunk when I hit bumps at highway speed. Secondly, I get what sounds like a tire rubbing when it's wet out. I checked things out but I don't see any wear marks, my tire looks fine, and everything seems to be ship-shape. My only guess is that road scum (slush, ice, snow) is building up on knuckle and freezing. I don't know about everybody else, but I can't fit my pinky finger between my tires and my knuckles...

If anybody has insight into these phenomena, it would be greatly appreciated.
