Intake would be the best bet, more hp gains, cheaper then a full cat back, plus you can install it yourself. In my opinion an intake sounds better than an exhaust.

why can't you install an exhaust yourself?

if you are smart with your money you can have both intake and exhaust for the price of one of those name brand ones

I'm selling my magnaflow muffler in the black market, PM me if interested. Where are you located? Neither will give you really significant gains, both give a great sound, its up to what you like.

Will do. I doubt it will be coming off anytime soon though, the only reason that I'm losing the exhaust is cause I'm transferring to Santa Barbara, and as much as I love the sound of exhaust, five hours of it is just too much. If I sell the car at the end of the summer I'll let you know about the V2 though.

I was talking about a custom weld on cat back because he said he would get the mufler there for I was thinking he was going to do a custom cat back with it, not everyone has a mig welder sitting in their garage, thats why I said an intake is more of a DYI. And as far as cheap intakes go I don't think I would buy one, because in California it's a $300 dollar ticket, and a referee inspection, once your car starts looking nice and starts getting attention it's only a matter of time until you get pulled over, which around here usually=poping of hood which=$300 fine for a non legal intake. Plus AEM intakes look and perform way better.
