Insurance Question
To those of you who have had your car repaired/repainted through your insurance, did your premiums stay the same or did they go up?

my deductible was pretty high, so my insurance didn't have a problem with chipping in a couple hundred bucks.....plus, my friend's dad runs that car repair shop ......i guess it would depend on what basis you are getting the car repainted

I was just wondering, say that my car got keyed or something to that effect and I needed a new paint job, say my deductible is $500, I've never had any speeding tickets/accidents in past three years either.

your premiums will stay the same unless you change them. Your insurance may go up though.
Your referring to the coverages staying the same, premiums are the amount paid for an insurance policy, but I get what you mean. It's just that I would love for a new paint job and accidentally keying my car might be a potentially good idea. Just need to know the repurcusions, I've heard that in some instances the premiums are not raised, and some cases are. I'm sure the insurance company has to have someone liable when their is no individual to blame for the damages

your insurance shouldn’t come up ......after you made claim like that (vandalism or hitting a dear or any other nature cause of damage) BUT claim will stay in insurance data base ....... so what this means next time when you will get in accident which will be your fault insurance will definitely go up ! that’s how it works they will get there money back somehow !
