I know you're probably trying to make it look original, but a huge spoiler like that should never touch a CL.

Dude, FYI, the only wing that looks good on a first gen is the stock one. Everyone else will tell you the same thing. Anything BUT stock looks like crap

I wonder if the Type R wing helps in providing any downforce for high speed sweepers on the track. If it calls for it, I'm going with a GT wing. Functional, and yet around $1600...

wings dont belong on cls. the trunk slopes down and with a wing it gives the back end a wierd hump. wings dont even work unless your rwd.

They do work, they are used of FWD platforms, and they do keep the car on the tracks during high speed sweepers. If you are using a setup to help you turn in during the hard corners, then during sweepers your car will have the tendency to oversteer which I don't think you want to be doing at speed over 95mph. Yes, with the right setup, a FWD platform can oversteer during a turn...

this wing would serve absolutely no purpose on our cars because of our trunk slope....
the slope of our trunk will cause this wing to angle up causing "upforce" and not downforce like the stock wing is made for, for our cars.

and i agree with Cocoa about the wing thing.. if you believe wings are only made for rear wheel drive cars, then think again....wings really only comes into use at speeds of 45 mph and up! rear wheel drive cars arent using their wings at a starting point... you need air flowing over ur car in order for the wing to provide downforce
