Welcome back!

I figured you would "return" announcing that the turbo was installed, and quoting your 1/4 miles times.

I'm glad that you finally got the turbo.

Sorry to hear about the CL and the house.

Congrats on the new job and the new house.

The wastegate spring is set at .65 bar which ~ 9.5 psi.

The boost controller wont let me go any lower than that so I'll run 9.5 daily and 12 or so on the track/dyno.

The FMAX kit was $3600 from mechasports.

Its going together OK so far. I'll do the install stuff on my web sight.

Time's....too early to tell.

As far as nitrous... I dont have to open a bottle and itll never have to be filled.

Moved with the same Co. Moved to GA as a temporary agreement.

There's a hell of a lot more up here (IL) than south GA. Here I have dyno just around the corner and several speed shops. There we had nothing but peanut fields and cotton.

Got a garage w/ this house.....right now I'm living out there. :P

how does that happen?

maybe the axles would go because of too much strain on the u-joints, but i have never heard of struts breaking because anyone had a turbo

beseides...... a his turbo kit and the rest of the accesories weigh only about 50 lbs at the most.

Your turbo is awsome. Let me guess, you work for cat. By the way I went to school in peoria (BU). Do people still cruise the strip on weekends?

How long are our stock internals going to last with the high compression of the engine+turbo?

9 psi should be fine on stock internals and 91+ octane.

hes got the kit intercooled also so i dont think the stock internals should be doing too bad.

only thing i would worry about would be a boost spike (altho the ball and spring on the external wastegate should not let it spike)

looks like a nice set-up.

what kinda turbo is it again? T3/T4?

There was some guy on this board not too long who said that he blew his piston rings within the first 2 weeks of turboing his 2.3. I forget his name, but he put in an H22 (and posted pics) and then turboed it just recently. So I wonder if the same thing would happen.

I dont think he had bigger injectors, boost dependant fuel pressure regulator, vafc, and dyno tuned the setup.

Every engine is different, but we'll see.

I never said 9. I have no idea. I dynoed 143 to the wheels minus the VAFC and the lightened flywheel.
